We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Spanish Speaking PCA (Personal Care Assistant) Caregiver to join our dedicated team. Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; observe for any changes in health or behavior
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation
  • Support patients with cognitive challenges such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorders, or developmental disabilities through specialized memory care techniques
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in compliance with healthcare standards
  • Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety during transfers and mobility support

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with individuals in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments
  • Strong knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification
  • Familiarity with care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities supported by experience in dementia care or social work
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish; proficiency in English is preferred for effective client interaction and documentation
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
  • Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for assisting clients outside the home setting
